Transportation Accident


Cross River : Three students of Cross River State University died in an auto crash while travelling to their homes following a two-week closure of the institution to stop students from taking part in the hardship protest slated for August 1.

Armed Robbery


Imo : Shops in Owerri, Imo State capital, shut down while major roads in the state capital were deserted on Wednesday as operatives of the Nigeria Police Force clashed with gunmen.

ekiti : The former Deputy Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Prof. Olorunfemi Olaofe, who was kidnapped on 9 July, found dead.

Federal Capital Territory : The Arewa Youth Ambassadors, a coalition of young people from Northern Nigeria, on Wednesday, declared that they would rather die fighting for "our rights and freedom than succumb to the oppressive forces of hunger and poverty".
